Darby is truly one of Western Montana's "Last Best Place"! Darby is tucked below Trapper Peak, the Bitterroots highest and most spectacular mountain. Historically, Darby was once the home of a thriving lumber industry and hosts Logger Days, an annual event. Today, Darby's western style main street is a favorite for tourists and local residents alike. The East and West Fork of the Bitterroot River converge just above Darby, making it a "must" desitination for those who enjoy the challenge of floating and fly fishing. Hunters will like Darby's close proximity to some of Western Montana's trophy Deer and Elk.
